1-1. Principle of Direct Current Motor Operation

Structure of DC Motor Magnetic fields are produced by the DC current applied to the stator windings. Electromagnetic forces are generated by the interactions of rotor winding currents and stator magnetic fields.

Principle of DC Motor Operation

Left-hand Rule A current-carrying conductor inside an environment with magnetic flux will experience a force which drives the conductor toward a direction perpendicular to both the conductor and magnetic field.
