. You can see from the place value chart that the hundreds place is ten times more than the tens. This is its place value. The 9 in the ones place equal 9 . A place value system is one in which the position of a digit in a number determines its value. The 6 in tens place equal 60. And the tens place is ten times more than the ones place.What is place value? Place value is the basis of our entire number system. Example: Loook at number 369. The 3 in the hundreds place equal 300. The value of a digit depends on its place in a number.
