ORGANIZATION PROFILE •ONGC was founded on 14 August 1956 . •Involved in exploring for and exploiting hydrocarbons in 26 sedimentary basins of India. •Company headquartered in Dehradun with its Corporate Office in New Delhi, India. •The government conferred the coveted Maharatna status on four state-run companies. •The combined production of oil and oil equivalent of gas of the ONGC Group of companies is 62.05 million tonnes which caters to around 25 percent of India’s demand.
