Dr. Regnerus said in his rebuttal report (the latest comment he submitted) page 11 of the .

pdf "I expanded the total number of groups to 15 in order to better reflect the different experiences of stability and partnering in American households. I did not include an “others” catch-all group in this set of analyses. As a result, the final tables reflect just under 400 fewer cases than in the original study." This is a misleading statement. This leads you to believe that he removed Group 8 called "All Others: All other family structure/event combinations, repondents with a deceased parent etc. N = 406 (From Origional Report)

In his Rebuttal Report he removed records that were in the Single Parents catagory and in the Step Parents catagory.
He gave them a bunch of different Group Names but when you add up the numbers from the New Groups, and compare them to the Original Single Parents and Step Parents Groups they are both short records. The way he describes this is above, "I expanded the total number of groups to 15 in order to better refelct..." That description is very misleading and should be clear what exactly he did. He needs to state that he took records out of Single Parents and Step Parents, not jsut eliminate the "Others Catch All Group" And what was the basis for removing records. What criteria did he use?
