The aim of the paper is to find out how to interconnect existing networks to del iver a larger service. Which is Internet and how this one is working and how it should work. In this paper, there are goals to design good internet architecture. The paper back in the history of Internet describing that it was designed for mi litary services but it has also been used in commercial services. This paper focus on three major philosophy of designing which are; reliability, flexibility and the support of multiple hosts (networks and services). Another important issues was to make sure that users of internet can continue th eir communication even if a failure occursin the network. The would be achieved by using fate-sharing approach. Because of the networks and the applications being supported the technique selec ted was a Packet switching instead of circuit switching or other alternative. Questions: 1. How will replication protect the state information from loss?

2. For the actually internet do the TCP/IP protocols need some designing (o r create other protocols) or they still the most effective protocols for the internet today?
