Hatim & Manson mentioned as follow

Translation is a useful test case for assessing the whole issue of
the role of language in social life. In creating a new act of
communication out of a previously existing one, translators
are inevitably acting under the pressure of their own social
conditioning while at the same time trying to assist in the
negotiation of meaning between producer of the sourcelanguage text and the reader of the target-language text,
both of whom exist within their own, different social
frameworks.

Jatujak Market
Jatujak Market is be popular with tourist because they see pictures of the
market crowded with shoppers in many tour guides. The main reason that it is so
popular is that there are a wide variety of products for sale there; including
clothing, accessories, home decorations, plants and pets. In addition, the Market
prices are much cheaper for goods of the same quality that are sold in large
shopping malls. Consequently, Jatujak Market, or J.J. Market, as it is known by the
Thai people who go there has become the most popular place for Thai shoppers of
all ages.
