here are indoor and outdoor sports. Gymnastics
is a typical indoor sport. It can be practised all the
year round in gyms. Athletics, cycling, hiking and most
aquatic (water) sports, like sailing, regatta, water-ski-
ing, diving, wind-surng and others are outdoor sports
practised mainly during the summer. Swimming is also a
typical summer sport. In winter it is possible to practise it
in indoor pools. Sportsmen practise winter sports, such
as skiing, skating, snow-boarding and tobogganing. Ski-
ers can practise the giant slalom, downhill racing or ski
jumps in ski resorts where there are good snow condi-
tions. In Slovakia there are a lot of ski resorts in the High
and Low Tatras.
Games are played by at least two players. Te most
popular games are football, rugby, hockey, tennis, golf, cricket, basketball, volleyball, bad-
minton, squash and handball. Te British are sport-loving people. Te Cup Final is the
most important football match of the year in England. It is played at the Wembley Stadium
near London. Te Slovaks are good at hockey. A lot of Slovak hockey players play in Ameri-
can and Canadian National Hockey League teams. Becoming a professional hockey player
is one of the most frequent dreams of Slovak boys. Tennis, another popular game, is played
on courts. Te most famous tennis tournament is held at Wimbledon every year. Te
championships are watched by thousands of people all over the world. Te most popular
games in America are baseball, American football, rugby, basketball, tennis, squash, box-
ing, wrestling and ice hockey. Squash is a game for two players played in a four-walled
court with a special racket and a soft ball.
Most people do sports because it is good for their body and mind. Some sport activi-
ties, such as aerobics, jogging, swimming or body building, are preferred by those who
want to lose weight. Doing a sport is a good way of spending free time. Professional sports
are often connected with overtraining or doping. During important competitions, such
as the Olympic Games, sportsmen are tested and may easily be disqualied. Tis has a

Nvrh sprvnej odpovede: Opis aporovnanie obrzkov

Let me describe the pictures rst. Tere are three pictures of dierent people.
In the rst picture, Ican see two small girls. ey are pretending to phone each other.
Tey cant see each other because they are back-to-back. I think they are playing
agame, they are lawyers or secretaries.
Ithink it is very bad when small children use mobile phones from an early age. ey
call people rather than talk to them face to face. It is sad that nowadays people dont
have alot of real human contact.
In the second picture, there are two teenagers. I think they are teenagers because
they're wearing typical teenage clothes. ey are smoking. Ithink they are protesting.
Smoking is very unhealthy. ey have a very bad lifestyle. ese young women are
damaging their health. Tey might not realise it because they are having agood time.
e third picture shows two old ladies who are having awalk in apark. Ithink they are
good friends. ey have probably known each other for along time. ey seem to be
having agood time together. Walking outside breathing fresh air is avery good activity.

NAUIL/A SOM SA,
e pri opise a porovnvan obrzkov budem postupova takto:
1. _____________________________________________________________
2. _____________________________________________________________
3. _____________________________________________________________
is is very good for the health of the two women. eir lifestyle is very good.
People's lifestyles can aect their lives in positive and negative ways. Smoking cigarettes
should not be apart of our lives. Smoking can cause lung cancer. Using mobile phones
from avery early age is not good for our health either. However, scientists have still not
explained the full eects of the use of mobile phones on our health.
In conclusion I can say that in order to be ft and healthy at every age, we should
neither smoke cigarettes nor use mobile phones. We should walk outside with people
we like and talk to each other face to face instead. People of all ages should take
greater care of their health. To stay t they should eat healthy food, play some sport
and nd time for their hobbies. Tey also should avoid stress.
