1ST DIVISION TECHNOLYMPICS


To: All Public Secondary School Administrators TLE Department Heads/Coordinators 1. This is to announce the holding of the 1st Division Technolympics on September 14, 2012 at Bonifacio Camacho National High School in Abucay, Bataan. 2. This activity is in line with the conduct of the 1st Division Integrated Competition which aims to showcase the skills acquired by our students in Technology & Livelihood Education (TLE) that are essentials in learning, innovation, technology, and career skills needed for work and life 3. School Principals/TLE Department Heads/Coordinators/Teachers and Technolympics contestants and coaches are authorized to attend in this division competition. 4. A Registration Fee of one thousand pesos (P1,000.00) shall be collected per participating school to defray administrative costs of the competition chargeable against School MOOE/local/PTA fund subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 5. For schools who will participate in the Experimental Fish Dish and Childrens Wear Construction; a reasonable amount of P250.00 and P150.00 respectively shall also be collected to defray the costs of contest supplies and materials chargeable against school MOOE/local/PTA fund subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 6. On or before August 31, 2012, Registration Fee should be submitted to this office together with the List of the Schools Delegation and Certification from the Principal that the contestant is a bonafide student (state year level) of the school he/she represents and a photocopy of his/her ID if available. 7. Opening and Awarding Ceremonies shall be done at the respective contest venues. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable. 8. Immediate and wide dissemination of the content of this Division Memorandum is requested to ensure full participation and support of all concerned.

Contest Guidelines COMPONENT AREA : HOME ECONOMICS
EVENT PACKAGE : NAIL ART W/ HAND MASSAGE YEAR LEVEL : FIRST YEAR NO. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : ONE (1) TIME ALLOTMENT : TWO (2) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Apply manicure services with nail art designs and hand massage. Contestants shall bring their own models and materials. Contest Administrator : Mrs. Lizelle Torio EVENT PACKAGE : HAIR STYLE WITH FACIAL MAKE-UP YEAR LEVEL : THIRD/FOURTH YEAR NO. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : ONE (1) TIME ALLOTMENT : THREE (3) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Applying the most appropriate hairstyle with the application of make-up for specific occasion. Contestants shall bring their own materials/accessories and a model who must wear white T-shirt and pants and has underarmlong straight hair. The type of occasion shall be drawn on-the-spot. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : TWO (2) TIME ALLOTMENT : FOUR (4) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Construction of a marketable casual dress designed for girls ages 5-6 years old. EVENT PACKAGE : STEEL BALLUSTER YEAR LEVEL : THIRD YEAR NO. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : ONE (1) TIME ALLOTMENT : FOUR (4) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Creative balluster could be used as railings of stairs porch, terrace and others. Creating quality and marketable designs would mean a possible profitable entrepreneurial activity. Contestants shall bring their own welding machines and materials (3/16 x 1 inch flatbar). Contest Administrator : Mr. Gregorio Barin EVENT PACKAGE : T-SHIRT PRINTING and DESIGNING YEAR LEVEL : SECOND YEAR NO. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : TWO (2) TIME ALLOTMENT : FOUR (4) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Creative designs on ordinary T-shirts makes it more attractive, competitive and marketable to various types of customers. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : TWO (2) TIME ALLOTMENT : FOUR (4) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Create and innovate wooden educational toys for children will help facilitate the development of their mental and manipulative skills. EVENT PACKAGE : EXPERIMENTAL FISH DISH YEAR LEVEL : FIRST/SECOND YEAR NO. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : ONE (1) TIME ALLOTMENT : TWO and ONE HALF (2 ) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Applying the principles in preparing innovative and marketable fish dish available from the mystery box which are provided by the Division Office and be given on-the-spot. EVENT PACKAGE : TARPAULIN DESIGNING YEAR LEVEL : SECOND YEAR NO. OF PARTICIPANT(S) : ONE (1) TIME ALLOTMENT : TWO (2) HOURS DESCRIPTION/USE : Applying Adobe Photoshop CS4 in Tarpaulin designing gets you to quality and marketable product/service advertisements. Graphics and layout size shall be given on-the-spot. Contestants shall bring their own laptops to the host school (B. Camacho NHS) on September 13, 2012 for inspection. Good navigation gets you where you want to go quickly and offers easy access to the breadth and depth of the sites content. Type and content of website to be given on-the-spot. EVENT PROCEDURE
A. Preliminaries
a. Submission of List of Contestants and Trainers, Registration Fee, and required documents is on or before August 31, 2012. b. Required documents to be submitted are Certification from the Principal that the contestant is a bonafide student (state year level) of the school he/she represents and a photocopy of his/her ID if available.

B. Skills Exhibition / Contest Proper


a. Registration starts at 7:30 AM on September 14, 2012 at B. Camacho NHS (host school). b. After the registration; contestants, trainers and other school delegates shall be accompanied by the host schools usherettes to their respective contest venues and/or school quarters. c. Mini-opening program (Prayer; Checking of Attendance of Contestants/Coaches; and Introduction of Contest Administrator, Contest Coordinator and Board of Judges. d. Briefing of trainers and participants with the Contest Administrator (10 mins,) e. Inspection of event materials, tools and equipment (10 mins,) f. Orientation on the mechanics of the exhibit g. Other instructions

C. Judging Proper / Exhibit / Awarding


a. A uniform criteria for assessment for all events shall be used as basis in judging the outputs of the contestants. Winners will ONLY be announced during the Awarding Ceremonies right after the judging of each event. All endorsed outputs shall be displayed (exhibit) until the duration of the event. Result of the contest shall be endorsed to the Secretariat by the Contest Administrator.
