“Learning I had a heart condition after a screening was the most sobering moment of my life. Standing on top of one of the world’s tallest mountains after my heart transplant was the most exhilarating! “ Kelly Perkins is a climber and global crusader for heart health, awareness, and organ donation.
Have Your Family Screened Stop Sudden Cardiac Arrest! ECHO & EKG SCREENING
The echocardiogram (ECHO) & electrocardiogram (EKG) are the best tools for detection of the risks of sudden cardiac death. These tests can cost up to $1,500 and are usually not covered by insurance. LA Tri Club has teamed up with Heartfelt Cardiac Projects and Moving Hearts to offer cardiac screenings for ages 5 and up for a tax deductible donation of $85 per person.
Cash or Checks Preferred
“As luck would have it, the day our 13 year old club soccer player came home and told me she was the fastest girl in her PE class, was also the day we found out that she had a hole in her heart that would require open heart surgery. It was the best decision of our life to have Cheyne screened via a Heartfelt and we are eternally grateful.”
Screenings take only 15 minutes and are painless, quick and easy.

Zack participated in the Heartfelt cardiac screening program in the fall of 2011 at St. Margaret's, which turned up a heart problem in this otherwise healthy, active, athletic 14 year old. Zack's family is grateful for the program knowing that it can actually prevent a horrible tragedy from occurring.
