in the Hall of Christ's College

on the

20th of November, three days after the text was

seen in Cambridge, in response to a general desire


for information as to the

new

discovery.

It

has since

been

corrected
notes,

enlarged

by the addition of

some

which are placed at the foot of the

page, with a view to guiding students to various


sources of information which

may yet throw further upon the interpretation of the fragment. The Lecture on the 'Revelation of Peter' was

given before the Divinity Faculty shortly afterwards,

and was at the time already in the press. These editions must be regarded as

tentative.
