EVALUATION OF STORYBOARD

MY ROLE IN STORY BOARDING
 While doing my storyboard my group members and I thought it would be much organised and efficient and if we split the tasks and do it in

division of labour fashion. I took upon the task to do all the writing
involved in the storyboard. So basically I filled in all the information of the shots, scene, location and time etc of every single story board sheet we produced, while the rest of the group went on with the drawings as those took up more time and required more people to do.

MY ROLE IN THE ANIMATICS
 While doing the animatic we did the same process of division of labour and this time it was much easier for us, as Lea and I worked on finding were to put the right markers in order to get it ready for organising while Plum and Ollie mainly handled the editing process of dragging the clips down to match the markers. It took a shorter period of time because of how organised we all were. We also worked

perfectly as a group.

THE EDITING OF THE ANIMATIC
 Our group discussed together how and why it was necessary to cut the shots in line with the beat when doing the animatic because at first it generally looked liked the most sensible way to go about it. However after going half way through the song and replaying it we realised that it was too fast and too uniformed. So we discussed how long the shots should stay longer such as the shots of when the girl is in the bath

 because she would be doing weird stuff and moving around, and also the close up of the light bulb flickering in the beginning.

THE EDITING OF THE ANIMATIC
 The key moments that really show the concept of our video in the animatic is when you see the worms on the hand

 and the fish in light bulb ,

 you understand immediately that the video is meant to represent surrealism etc

THE PROCESS OF THE ANIMATIC
 The process of the animatic is basically a general overview of what we are going to be doing in the real music video. Not exactly the same thing because we couldn’t achieve shots such as panning shots and zooming in

with the animatic because they are all still images.
 However it gave us the opportunity to plan and actually think of the how we want the shots to be organised. We also edited the animatics in a way would could easily refer to when doing the actual music video so that we have a kind of routine to follow.
