Reflection is a way to improve lesson plans. they also adapt ways to improve time. teachers must reflect and adjust the lesson to fit student needs. The two videos are great examples of teacher reflection and adaptions to fit student needs. Teachers are constantly looking for ways to improve lessons in order to deliver quality education to students. These adjustments are usually changes in teaching methods or manipulatives. Teachers usually ask questions. They can ask questions during their time of reflection on how to improve or direct the next lesson. If students are having a difficult time grasping a concept.VIDEO REFLECTION SUMMARY Video Reflection Summary 2 Reflection is the most important concept for teachers. Students should easily grasp the concepts and objectives of the lesson. Every lesson needs reflection and improvement after it’s taught to students. Good reflection requires teachers to keep records of notes throughout the day on what is effective and what is not effective. Teachers can use many ways to reflect on lessons. Teachers not only reflect after lessons are conducted. Teachers usually review lessons and determine what methods were effective for students. Reflection allows adaptations for lesson plans and gives teachers insight on how effective lesson are to students. If students have having a difficult time grasping the concepts and assessment scores are low. Teachers must make decisions in their daily teachings. As teachers reflect on the effectiveness of lessons. such as “What was not effective? Was time managed well? What methods will improve this lesson?” These are the type of questions teachers must ask as they reflect on lessons. This improves lesson planning and meets the needs of students. Lesson planning takes time management into consideration. This way is through reflection. . they reflect as they observe students during a lesson.

The lesson focuses on logical and spatial concepts. projectors are used to give students visual aid. The teacher. presentations. Technology helps students engage and understand concepts easier than traditional teaching methods. Students work in groups and independently to solve fractions. Teaching fractions is a difficult task and students usually have trouble understanding fractions. projectors. The teacher adjusts the lesson by integrating technology. Students take on different roles and are engaged with various hands-on activities. Integrating technology in the lesson allows students to engage and focus on visual aspects of the lesson. . Every lesson needs to address student needs in one way or another.VIDEO REFLECTION SUMMARY 3 Lesson on Birds is primarily adjusted on hand-on activities and real-world understanding of birds and habitats. This lesson focused on using manipulatives to help students grasp an easier understanding of fractions. Some technology improvements include computers. Staying upto-date on teaching methods and technological advances to use in the classroom would help lesson reflection. and SmartBoards. The teacher is able to allow time for an outside trip for a real-world experience. Ali Hallock. computer games. uses modeling and direct instruction to teach this mathematical concept. Teachers who do not reflect ultimately fail their students. She carefully gives instructions to start the lesson and sets achievable goals. such as PowerPoint. help students succeed in their adult lives. in place of chalkboards. Teachers who do reflect and adjust lesson plans to fit student needs. Teachers should always reflect on each lesson and work on improving for the following school year.
