Parents/Guardians: Are you ready for another Winter Break Box Tops Contest? This time we are going to promote Box Tops Across America! Every student will be bringing home a school-addressed envelope and a note explaining to receiver that we are trying to collect box tops from every state! MAKE SURE you fill in your name and teacher name before mailing. You can send the envelope and note separately, or slip them into a holiday card. We encourage you to make copies of the note and send envelopes to everyone you know. If you could include a stamp on the envelope, that would encourage participation. There will be a US map hanging in the cafeteria. We will put a push pin in each state as we receive box tops from that state. The grade level that collects from the most states will receive an extra recess. If all 50 states are covered, every grade level will win! We will use the postmark on the envelope to count for the state. Each grade level will receive CO as a start. I also want to encourage everyone to collect their own box tops over Winter Break! There will be ten drawings for a Wendys Frosty. Collect your box tops and send in a Ziploc bag, envelope, etc. marked with your name and teacher name. Be sure to ask friends/coworkers/family to save for you! All box tops must be received by January 10, 2013. Box Tops Marketplace is a great place to shop and make travel plans! It is so easy and most online retailers will reward us 3-10 eboxtops for every $10 you spend! Mrs. Hoople placed an online order through the Marketplace with Oriental Trading to stock the ROAR store. That order earned us $45 in eboxtops! You can follow our progress at www.boxtops4education.com. Dont forget the school that collects highest percentage of box tops over last year will receive a $25,000 bonus! THIS IS OUR GOAL!!!! For those of you getting new laptops, eReaders, tablets, cell phones, video games, etc., be sure to save your old ones to recycle with us! Looking forward to a large collection after Winter Break! Also save those print cartridges after printing all of those holiday cards and letters. I want to send a special Thank You to NJHS for counting out and separating our box tops that were mailed Oct. 22. We will be receiving a check for nearly $600 from our first contest! Teachers enjoyed their gift bags from Staples and Mrs. Jensens class enjoyed their Chick-Fil-A breakfast. Thank you for supporting Erie Middle School and turning your Trash Into Cash!
