ShipShape Leith What is it?

ShipShape Leith is a joint initiative created by the Community Safety Team and the Leith SNT Police to address the street appearance issues that have been raised by the community.

Where is it?
We intend to clean all street furniture and remove all graffiti affecting Constitution Street and other side streets.

When is it?
The ShipShape Leith Volunteer Day will be held on Friday 16 November with volunteers meeting at the Kirkgate, Victoria Monument at 0930.

What will we be doing?
We’ll be cleaning the ‘street furniture’ i.e. lampposts, pillar boxes etc. of fly posters and graffiti. The equipment, supplied by the City of Edinburgh Council, will include rubber gloves, goggles, wallpaper scrapers, hand brushes, snips and graffiti wipes. Even if you can only spare a morning, afternoon or just 1 hour of your time it will make all the difference. If you would like to take part in the ShipShape Leith Volunteer Day, please contact me to show your interest. Mark Robinson Community Safety Officer 0131 529 7090 Mark.Robinson@edinburgh.gov.uk
