Chapter 2 ADAPTABILITY ADAPTABILITY: EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS “ “ “ “ “ Though many people find change difficult to handle. In an environment that is constantly changing. We have a very fast paced environment and I understand how to navigate the changes and provide high quality work. I have handled the changes well and supported other employees who were troubled by them. despite not knowing what may be coming at me next. Simple Evaluation Page 12 . I believe this year I have demonstrated that I care greatly about attendance and punctuality. I get to work early to be prepared to start a productive and efficient work day. I’ve had perfect attendance this past year.

Not only does Jason exemplify our standards of attendance and punctuality, but he takes initiative to improve the attendance and punctuality of those around him. He creatively introduced new incentives to keep his subordinates motivated to be at work, and their work is consistently efficient because of it.

I am quite reliable in terms of punctuality and attendance. I show up on time every day, and do not leave early without prior approval and meeting his obligations. Additionally, I started a carpool to improve the punctuality of others.

I start each day ready for the challenges ahead. I am dependable and maintain a great schedule throughout the year. I will continue to try to excel in attendance and punctuality.

I have a nearly perfect record of attendance and am on-time, ready to work, each day. I always seek prior approval before taking a day off, and arrange for back up support during any absences. I complete my assignments on-time and my meetings end on-time.

I have very good attendance. I start and end meetings on time which helps keep my team productive. I continue to work on improving my time management skills to continue remaining on-time.

I complete my assignments accurately and on time and am prepared for meetings. I rarely have a sick day and have improved my attendance this year. I meet all company standards for attendance and punctuality.

A number of times I’ve had to work late to complete a project on-time. I do so without complaint and want all of our projects to be successful. I believe I meet all expectations for attendance and punctuality, showing up on time and eager to work.

I schedule vacations well in advance, ensuring that necessary preparations are made for my absence. I show up on time and only leave early when my work is completed, and I have received the necessary permission from my manager. I support my peers when they are struggling with time management, and am willing to take on extra work for the benefit of the team.

I have satisfactory attendance. I believe I have been on-time to work and work my full schedule most work days. There have been, on occasion, days where I have been late to work, but I stay late to make up the time. I will continue to work to improve my attendance.

For most of the year, I have no attendance problems. During inclement weather, traffic can cause me to be late on occasion. I try to adjust the time I leave to make up for this, but on occasion I am still late. I will continue to work on improving my punctuality.

At times, I have a bad habit of arriving late to work. I understand how this affects my team and am working on a plan to improve my attendance. I will show greater effort to arrive on time and begin work along with everyone else.

Though my attendance is good, I know some of my breaks have run a little long this year. I will continue to work on keeping my breaks to their allotted time and improve in attendance and punctuality.

I consistently arrive to work on time, and schedules her absences according to regulations. However, I understand the perception that I spend a lot of time on personal matters at work. I will work on improving this and ensuring that my work time is devoted to business matters.

My attendance has suffered at times due to unforeseen personal circumstances. I believe that I am a reliable team member. I do understand the negative effect on my colleagues and will work to improve in this area.

I consistently portray an attitude communicating respect and patience. I am a quiet person which comes across as shyness or possibly aloofness. but I understand how this can be viewed as isolation and not communicating with others well. Sometimes my work requires minor adjustments to the stated policy. I can improve in communicating changes in company direction this next year. This protects our firm and my team from legal exposure and also ensures we are being ethical in all we do. I am working on documenting these deficiencies so these policies can be revised and improved. Many of these have seemed outdated. but I understand the company wants me to follow them to the letter despite the deficiencies. I have been instrumental in implementing ISO quality management and helping the firm achieve its ISO certification. I have worked through a number of activities and sought to improve our quality measurement for many processes.

I try to always be an encourager during training sessions. I believe this has produced a great return for the company. We’ve installed a number of new systems this year and I have focused on learning the new technology. I am consistently rated as excellent by employees in the training classes. I encourage my employees to attend training sessions and take advantage of the training courses offered. This can put a strain on teams as they work to absorb the lost hours . I will continue upgrading skills on my team this next year. I have enjoyed absorbing the material and training coworkers on it. I will work to continue providing excellent training to new employees. I have also taken a number of independent study courses outside of company training to improve my business skills. There is a significant time investment required for sufficient training for staff members. I have taken a number of soft skills classes this year and have learned a great deal. I plan to continue learning and taking advantage of company training programs.I have worked hard to schedule time for all of my team members to attend training and have been excellent in working to absorb the hours invested. Over the next year. I am very attentive during training class and score among the highest in comprehension tests.

TRAINING: BELOW EXPECTATIONS As a long time employee. I enjoy investing time in training and believe the training classes I have taken have benefited the company and myself. I enjoy investing time in other people and helping put proper focus on training. but I believe my long term experience here should exempt me from basic classes. I struggle with some of the introductory courses. I take advantage of training courses offered and have attended all mandatory training this year. I will continue to spend an appropriate amount of time on training and taking classes as required. I think it has been beneficial. Simple Evaluation Page 100 . but with the point of having to take time out of my schedule to attend. I am interested in on the job training opportunities and take advantage of them as often as possible. I can understand taking more advanced courses. I believe this helps make me a valuable team member. I will focus on continuing to take training opportunities as they are offered. but overall. I have also helped several team mates find the right training classes for their skill sets. Not only have I taken the recommended training classes this year. Not that I struggle with the material. At times. This has afforded me a number of great training programs where I can continue to upgrade my knowledge and skills. I have struggled to maintain my workload and some of the classes. I am quick to learn new concepts and apply them on the job. This next year.

“ “ “ “ I have had difficulty applying some of the concepts taught in mandatory HR training this year and understanding why we’re asked to participate in some of these classes. This year. I have not thoroughly encouraged my team to attend training and a number of the staff members missed several training classes. I plan to work on improving my application of training principles this year. Simple Evaluation Page 101 . I understand training is important. I understand the point of view and will work on being more engaged in training class. This struggle with the applying these new processes has resulted in lower productivity. I attend all of the required training classes. I will ensure my team is taking the necessary training courses. Though I have attended all of the required training classes. but have been made aware that the instructors do not feel that I participate fully during class. My goal this year is to schedule training classes and attend them as required. but have not had the time available to attend classes.
