A Journey from a childhood in Nazi Germany to a love for Israel and Palestine and a deep desire for peace in the Middle East Inge Etzbach announces the publication of her latest book, called “In the Land of Milk and Honey – The Struggle for the Jewish Soul”. In her desire to understand and deal with the Holocaust and prevent this kind of inhumanity from ever happening again, she was preoccupied all her life with the desire to understand the complex issues at work in an area that call for reason and compassion and a careful balance between the longing of one’s soul and the need to consider the souls and lives of others. She examines the core issues, the biblical myths, underlying assumptions and paradigms which helped shape Zionism and the State of Israel today and allows the suppression of another people, the Palestinians. The book also deals with the excavations and newest discoveries regarding the historical development of the people and the religion, and is influenced by the prophetic words of the people who try to find ways to heal the wounds of their country and its inhabitants.
"Goes to the core of the issues. Very informative and extremely important." "Very powerful!" "May your efforts help on the path to peace". "I appreciate the light you throw on the issues".
Inge Etzbach was born in Germany one year before Hitler came to power and had the defining moment of her life when, only 12 years old, she saw concentration camp inmates at the end of the war. After the death of her husband, Inge lived for some time in Israel and the West Bank, worked in a Kibbutz , cleaned Uzi guns as a Volunteer for Israel on an army base, traveled through Israel and did research at the Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She earned degrees in Philosophy and Political Science and is an ordained Interfaith Minister. The book is available from amazon.com at $12.95 and digitally on Kindle at $5.00 ISBN-13: 978-1470026967 ISBN-10: 1470026961
