Thelen’s Oct./Nov. News and Prayer
Isaiah 30:21 “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”
Fall on the Amazon does not boast beautiful leaves, pumpkins, or cooler weather. In fact, October is our hottest and driest month of the year! The river reaches its lowest point as you can see in the picture. In spite of the lack of change in weather for us, we have felt many changes the last months. Change is often hard, uncomfortable, and scary, but also holds the promise of new growth and exciting possibilities for the future. One big change for our family has been the adjustment of having our oldest, Reece, off to Bible School. It has been so encouraging, though, to hear how he loves his classes and is learning so much. What a joy to see our kids set out on their own and grow spiritually. Please pray that he will find a job yet this semester and for the ongoing shoulder dislocation problem he still has from time to time. If you would be interested in supporting him financially or with care packages, his address is: Reece Thelen, 915 N. Hartwell, Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. His email is: reecethelen@gmail.com. The second big change has not happened yet, but we have felt for some time now that the Lord is moving us into another ministry or direction. We are currently looking into several ministry options in the US and praying about a possible move coming up in the summer of 2013. As you can imagine, lots of prayer, tears, and fears are going into this. It is hardest on our girls who have only known PQQ as “home”. Please pray that we would listen closely and follow wherever the Lord leads, knowing that being in the center of His will is the safest and most joyful place to be. At the same time we are showing a dvd Bible study series to Sr. Nilo. We have been blessed to borrow a coworker’s car for part of the trip as the river is at its lowest. Pray for continued interest and open hearts.

Juniors and Aleixo Outreach
We continue to enjoy having the 5 juniors over each Tuesday night to hang out and eat a snack. This photo shows the whole high school of 8 students this year celebrating our daughter, Janae’s, 16th birthday. Four of the teens also go with us each Sunday morning to the Aleixo community outside Manaus. They have started a Bible club with about 10 children from the slum area we visit.

Pray for us!
1. Pray for Reece. 2. Pray for us as we seek the Lord’s will in future ministry. 3. Pray for the MKs we work with and for wisdom and love to help them grow. 4. Pray for the outreaches to Aleixo and open hearts to His Word.

Thank You!
We appreciate each and every one of you and your gifts and prayers. We consider you a huge part of our ministry here at PQQ and in the big job of reaching our world for Jesus! Serving Him with you, Roger & Kerry Thelen And family
