This Sunday evening you are encouraged to join with me and others of our community at the annual COMMUNITY

THANKSGIVING SERVICE, to be held at the St. John’s Episcopal Church. June Johnson, the interim Rector of St. John’s will lead in the Thanksgiving service. The service will begin at 7:00 PM. The opportunity to show your thankfulness will be afforded on Thanksgiving Morning at the First United Methodist Church where Thanksgiving lunches will be delivered to the community. Each year folks from area churches gather to cook, pack and distribute these meals. Be at the First United Methodist Church around 9AM to participate in this event. By the way, it is a great family outing on Thanksgiving morning and you will be home in time for lunch. I am grateful for so many things this Thanksgiving. I am especially grateful to be the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bainbridge. My daily prayer is that God would make me the Pastor He wants me to be. Thank you for your love and support . Happy Thanksgiving, Paul

We traveled to Valdosta First Baptist for our annual Fall Fellowship of Choirs. Joe Mason, a Christian comedian, did a great job entertaining us with his wit and song. Some were rolling in the aisles! We won’t think about “patches of ear hair” again without thinking of Joe. One of the lovely ladies at FBC Valdosta had purchased and wrapped over 100 different gifts to share with all of us. We were overwhelmed when we realized what a sacrifice she has made to be a blessing to all of us. Thanks again to Billy Poppell for being such a great driver.

A special thanks to the Mary Martha Class for sponsoring the Student Ministry Thanksgiving Meal. You ladies are a blessing to our ministry and our church. It was a great time of fellowship. Remember to keep an eye on the upcoming events for the next couple of months. We have some things cancelled due to breaks and we have some important items on the calendar for the holidays. Meet in the BARACA classroom as always. Men meet today and the ladies will meet on November 25th. Remember to bring your books to this rehearsal.

The Chancel and Saints Alive Choirs will join singers from other local churches at the Community Thanksgiving Service, held tonight at the Episcopal Church. Rehearsal begins at 6:30 and the worship begins at 7:00 PM. We’ve cancelled our worship service this evening and I’m expecting every leader of FBC to be a part of this time of worship as we join to give thanks to God.

SAINTS ALIVE NOTE The Saints Alive rehearsal on Monday, November 26th will begin 30 minutes later - at 11:00, as we join others in Decatur County honoring Mr. Tommy Wheeler at the dedication of the Ag building named in his honor.
