TURN Right (north) on Verdugo. At fork in the road veer left. Park entrance will be on you left. Free parking is available inside the park at the south end metered parking OR directly across from the park on Canada. Please respect our neighbors. DO NOT park in the residential neighborhood north of the park. THE COURSE: Race takes place in a beautiful urban park shaded by trees. Flat grass start/finish with rolling, twisty grass sections through a mix of grass, pavement, dirt, mulch. The course will travel up and down the park picnic and dirt roads, there will be one double barrier set, a challenging stairs section run up, two times through the infamous Tot Park Sand Trap©! This UNRIVALED spectator course! Each lap is approx. 3.5km in length. Races are timed circuits on the course based on the leader of each race wave. All races finish on the lap of the wave leader. THE VENUE: Verdugo Park is one of the crown jewels in the City of Glendale park system. Though it is in the middle of a residential neighborhood it features ample grass, mature shade trees, a sparkling creek, great picnic areas, athletic fields and a renowned skate park! REGISTRATION: Online registration is available via AthletePath.com. 5 race Series discount passes are available. Go to www.socalcross.org/register for details. Online registration closes Thursday November 22nd at 11:59PM (Pacific). Race Day registration opens at 7:30am then 2 hours prior to each race wave start then closes 15 minutes prior to each wave start. ENTRY FEES: *$5.00 add’l race price applies after HIGHER entry is paid except Juniors who race the Juniors race first. RULES: Event will be held rain or shine. No refunds. Bicycle and wheel changes are allowed in the designated pit areas only. Helmets required. Water feeds are allowed. Cyclocross or hard tail mountain bikes (no bar ends) are best for handling the terrain and obstacles on course as well as getting on the off the bike. Mountain Bike pedals and shoes are preferred or flat pedals with tennis shoes for beginners. This event is held under American Bicycle Racing Permit. 2012 ABR rules apply. www.AmBikeRace.com ABR is Dedicated to Promote, Educate and Service the Sport of Bicycle Racing unfortunately USA Cycling does not recognize nonUSAC sanctioned events in their ranking and upgrade point structure as there is no reciprocity by USAC. Warming up on the Course Once the last rider has crossed the line in the current active wave, the race officials will allow riders to “pre-ride” the course to become familiar with route and obstacles. Please enter the course past the finish line and do not pass or enter in front of riders who are still racing on the course. As in the past, while pre-riding do not cross the finish line while the timing system is running and do not pass active racers on course. There will always be enough time to complete one lap before the next race starts. Once the next race has started, warming up on the course is not allowed. CATEGORIES: Senior (over 18 years of age in 2013) and Masters categories may be listed by ability as well as age. Ability categories are as follows. The Prestige Series discourages sandbagging. USA Cycling does not recognize American Bicycle Racing events for cyclocross category upgrades or national ranking points. A B C USAC Road/CX Cat 1 and 2, MTB Cat 1/Expert and anyone else who chooses to race at this level. USAC Road/CX Cat 3 and 4, MTB Cat 2/Sport and anyone who chooses to race at this level. USAC Road 4 and 5, CX 4, MTB Cat 3/Beginner. New racers or those trying cyclocross for the first time.

CYCLOCROSS RACING AGE: A rider’s racing age for the 2012-13 Cyclocross Season is the 'racing age' they’ll be the year of the CX World Championships which take place February 2–3, 2013. Your racing age for the entire cyclocross season running September 2012 through January 2013 is your age as of 12/31/2013. RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area immediately following each race. Please make sure to check your results within the 15-minute posting/protest period or they will be final.
