Its with pleasure that the College of Human and Health Sciences, Swansea University presents a booklet of useful Welsh words, terms and sayings accompanied by their English translations. The main intention is to offer some assistance to those who may not be very familiar with the Welsh language. The aim of the College and the University is to prepare students to offer a high quality service that meets the needs of the public. Offering a bilingual service is an important part of this endeavour. This vocabulary was chosen as it is relevant to health and social care. Although the booklet has been organised according to different roles, there are some phrases that may be useful for everyone. Therefore, we suggest that you take a look at the whole booklet.
