County Exec McCoy Announces New Veterans Support Services County Partners with Soldier On to Provide Critical Housing Assistance
ALBANY, NY - Albany County Executive Dan McCoy will announce the creation of a new Albany County Veterans Resource Center Sunday, November 11 at 2:00 pm at the Soldier On administrative offices at 55 Heritage Lane in Colonie. The center is the result of the county’s partnership with Soldier On, a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing and support services to veterans. Solider On has already served over 500 New York and Massachusetts veterans and their families by providing temporary financial assistance for rent, security deposits, moving costs, childcare and emergency supplies, as well as help obtaining Veterans Administration benefits and transportation.
