RFID BASED ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The purpose of this project is to design and implement an electronic attendance system

for the employees of a company, using Radio Frequency Identification method. Each employee/student of the company or school will be supplied with an identity card containing RFID Tag. There is an RFID reader at the entrance of the company. The employees need to show the tag to the reader/detector daily when they enter inside the company. The reader will detect the card ID. The microcontroller circuitry connected to the RF reader notes the name of the employee and the time of arrival to the company and stores it into the memory. It is the easiest way of maintaining the employees attendance. The display unit shows the attendance records of the employee.

Embedded Controller Serial I/O Port Unit

The RFID reader reads the data stored in the RF Tag. It sends the identity number to an embedded controller through its serial port.Reader that is placed in classroom/office reads the data from the students/employee RFID card. By using this data attendance for the particular students/employee is registered. Then the data attendance is stored in the nonvolatile memory of the microcontroller through its serial port then the same data is updated to PC. If school staff or needs to check their student attendance they can check by using PC Database.
