Performance and Movement Use in the film extract and what the spectator understands from what they see.

Direct Bodily Contact

Proximity of one character to another Orientation of one to another (ie. The extent to which characters stand with their bodies turned towards or away from one another) General appearance of individuals (eg. Tall and thin or short and fat)

Head movements (eg. Nodding or shaking of the head)

Facial expressions


Body Posture

Eye movement or contact

Aspects of speech (pitch, stress, tone, volume, accent, speech errors)
