Functional locations Structure is a hierarchical Presentation of a Tech.
System.
Gives information about how the Technical System is sub divided into
Individual Functional Units.
Individual function Units are defined on the Basis of Process Orientation,
Functions, or any other Special criteria.
Each functional location is managed independently in the system, so that
you can :
W anage individual data from a maintenance perspective for the object
W Perform individual maintenance tasks for the object
W Keep a record of the maintenance tasks performed for the object
W Collect and evaluate data over a long period of time for the object

Defining Equipment Categories is a faciIity in SAP/PM to
group the vast variety of Equipments that any manufacturing
Organization can have in their PIant. One of the methods of
grouping simiIar Equipments is to differentiate them on the
basis of their Use and / or the Function that they perform e.g.,
EIectricaI Equipment. In GIL, this is the basis of defining
Equipment Category shown in the next two sIides

TOLERENCE: ( 50% )
It is the difference between pIanned date and TECO date ,given in %age for

the gap between pIanned date and TECO date.
Shift factor wiII be effective onIy if difference between pIanned date and
