I, the Human...

Who am I and where do I come from? Why am I here, now, and what should I do, while alive? What can I do? What can I change? What can I hope for? What should I pray for? I, the Human, the most evolved of all beings, am the most haunted. By questions I cannot answer! I, the Human, am the wonderer and the prophet, the dreamer and the realist, the thinker and the sentimentalist. I, the Human, am the hunter and the hunted, the player and the watcher, the fighter and the peacemaker, the protector and the destroyer, the grudger and the forgiver. I, the Human, am the hope and the disillusion, the power and the weakness, the happiness and sadness, the trust and the despair. I, the Human, am the knowledge and the ignorance, the richness and the poverty, the music and the silence. I, the Human, am the brain and the heart, the mind and the soul. I, the Human, am all of that, and yet, don’t see, don’t understand, don’t care! I, the Human, am the only being who managed breaking Planet Earth's equilibrium! I, the Human, am the only being responsible for so much extinct species! I, the Human, am the only being capable of deliberately destroying my own home! I, the Human, am the only murderer capable of killing for pleasure! I, the Human, am the only being capable of speaking, of loving, of crying, of embracing someone… I, the Human, am the only being capable of reading, writing, reasoning… And yet, I don’t speak when I should, I don’t love as much as my heart could, I don’t cry when I hurt people, I don’t embrace others too often… I don’t read as much as I should, I don’t write as much as I could, I don’t reason as often as I should! I am the most evolved o all beings, the most endowed, the most gifted and yet, Planet Earth’s biggest disappointment, its biggest threatening! I, the Human, should stop destroying! I, the Human, should stop fighting against Planet Earth, as I, the Human, live here!
