Recipe: Tomato Soup


8 Tomatoes 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/4 tsp Ginger-garlic paste 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp cumin powder 3-1/2 cups Water 1/2 tbsp Butter Salt to taste (about 1 tsp) 2 tbsp Cream for garnishing

Cook tomatoes to a boil and keep at a low boil for 10 minutes. Continue simmering if needed until tomatoes are soft. Remove from the stove. Puree tomato mixture in the electric blender, after it has cooled down. Add water and strain it to remove the seeds and tomato skin. Heat butter in pan until melted. Add black pepper powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, gingergarlic paste and salt. Add tomato puree, bring to boil and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat . Serve hot. Garnish it with cream separately in each bowl.
