CIMENTACIONES PROFUNDAS
Definiremos PILOTE como, aquellos elementos estructurales lineales, de gran longitud comparada con la seccin transversal, que se hincan o construyen en una cavidad previamente abierta en el terreno y son capaces de recoger las cargas de la superficie del terreno y transmitirlas a capas ms profundas.

son aquellos que se ejecutan en excavaciones previas realizadas en el terreno dimetro < 0,45 m: no se deben ejecutar pilotes aislados, salvo en elementos de poca responsabilidad en los que un posible fallo del elemento de cimentacin no tenga una repercusin significativa; 0,45 m < dimetro < 1,00 m; se podrn realizar pilotes aislados siempre que se realice un arriostramiento en dos direcciones ortogonales y se asegure la integridad del pilote en toda su longitud. dimetro > 1,00 m; se podrn realizar pilotes aislados sin necesidad de arriostramiento siempre y cuando se asegure la integridad del pilote en toda su longitud.
