This lesson we went through the basics of how to put together the start of our Magazine front covers; the grid formatting lines are lines which help to split up your Magazine front so that you can easily apply text and images onto the different parts of the page without any trouble when putting in the images and text where you would like them to go. We done this in Photoshop as it was the best software for this task using an example of a magazine front cover to guess where we thought this publisher may have put in their grid format lines to apply their Pug, Anchorage, Main feature image an so on we discovered that the publisher may have applied their grid lines 88. After discovering this we then had a go and starting to create the beginning of our Music magazine; to create these grid lines we went on view bar at the top of the screen and selected the ruler, we then dragged the ruler line from the x axis and y axis to form boxes which would then hold the content of our images and text after applying the gridline we then attempted to input some images and texts which would indicate the style of font of the text in relation to the theme experimenting using different fonts for your Masthead, pugs and slogan helps you to find which font is best suited to the theme in which you have chose to base your magazine on overall after experimented and deciding of the content of the magazine front cover would then be defined as a flat plan ; a flat plan is a simplistic drawing of a page layout that shows where the different text, picture and graphic elements will go on a page all publishers do this so that they are happy with what their magazine will look like before going into production this then helps to cut down on production time and leads to a product which had .
