Reading Workshop Writing Workshop

We are reading series books with partners. Students will be discussing characters, setting, plot, and working on summarizing. They will also set goals with their partners to read at the same pace. Once they get into the second book of the series, they will look at patterns in the characters feelings or actions.

Math Chapter 8 was a breeze! We will have a test on Wednesday. Chapter 9 is more multiplication facts and patterns. Keep up with the multiplication/ division practice on IXL!

Social Studies Students are enthusiastic about geography! Last week we talked about hemispheres, continents, ans oceans. This week we are learning about countries, states, provinces, and cities. They should know what the name of their community is.

Our essays are coming along nicely. This week students will write an introduction and conclusion, peer edit, and submit their nal revision to me by Friday. I will return them by next Monday so they can write their published piece.
