If you are interested in literature about parenting, disciplining, resources, and educational pamphlets about drugs just ask! The Parent Institute has literature on the following topics: Developing Good Character Traits, Adults in Charge, The ABCs of Discipline at Home, Teaching Responsibility for their Learning & Behavior, Conflict Resolution, Instilling the Desire for Success!

Our counseling center also includes informational pamphlets about: Stimulants, Heroin, Hallucinogens, Depressants, Marijuana, Cocaine, Alcohol, Bullying, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Eating Disorders, Tobacco Use, Inhalant Abuse, Tactics to Avoid Violence, Maturation Conversational Tips, & Parenting Teen Tips.

One resource Kennedy Middle School readily utilizes is CARE of Southeastern Michigan.
CARE works with Macomb Countys school districts to help students achieve success while facing problems that are negatively impacting them. Youth & Family Programs include: Skills for Managing Anger, Teen Intervene: Power of Drugs and Alcohol, and Project FOCUS. Parent Programs offered include an eight week Parent Education Class, and Teens Talking Truth.
