This study aims to evaluate the status of learning resources


centers (L.R.C) in the basic stage in Gaza governorates basic
schools in light of current global attitudes.
To achieve this goal we formed the following questions:
What are the global attitudes towards the L.R.C ?
What are the standards to achieve the L.R.C in the light of the
global attitudes ?
What is the status of L.R.C of the basic stage school in Gaza
governorates according to the point of view of supervisors?
What is the status of L.R.C of basic stage school according to
the teachers opinions?
What is the suggested conception of learning resource centers
in the basic stage schools in Gaza governorates?
The answers of these questions are fulfilled by two tools:
Special questionnaire to evaluate the status of learning resources
centers in basic stage schools according to centers supervisors
opinions .
Questionnaire to evaluate the status of learning resources
centers in basic stage schools according to teachers opinions.
The checking of the validity of the tools had been done by a
group of arbitrators and to check the reliability of the
questionnaires the researcher used Cronbach-alpha for
exploratory sample, and the value of correlation coefficient of
the first questionnaire is (0.92), and for the second (0.91) and
this reflect that the two questionnaires have high degree of
reliability which makes the researcher apply them on samples of
the course .
The sample of the course consisted of two groups the first
group has (36) supervisors on the learning resources centers
represented the whole study population, and the second group
consisted of (182) teachers represented about 20% of teachers of
schools that have the services of L.R.C in Gaza governorates
and their number is 910 teacher.
The researcher used the descriptive analytic methods and
constructive method.

And the results of study were as follow:


Known the currents global attitudes about L.R.C which
emphasize on the important role which those centers play it in
the learning process.
Building standards for scholastic learning recourses centers in
basic stage schools in Gaza Governorates.
The most applied philosophies by these centers were stressing
the significance of role of L.R.C to improve the teaching
methods and the less applied which stressed on the self abilities
in research .
The most achieved objectives by these centers which related to
prepare annual plan of the centers activities and the less
achieved which related to enable the teachers to use the
technology in learning and teaching process .
The most practiced activities by there centers which related to
provide the teachers with suitable learning resources for
teaching and the less practiced which related to preparing the
annual budget and presenting it to the principal of teachers .
The most available places in the center is the place where to
save these resources and the less available the place of
electronic teaching and the individual learning .
The most available equipments are T.V sets and the less
available is the internet and the satellite .
The schools are about to vacant of qualified supervisors and the
technicians of maintenance and the assistants of technicians .
Suggesting conception to L.R.C in basic schools in Gaza
governorates.
In light of these findings recommends providing
appropriate buildings got learning resources centers with more
facilities to enable staff to carry out their tasks and connecting
them with other local and international educational institutions
for exchange of experience and consultation through internet
other recommendations included conducting further research to
outline the role of these centers in improving the usage of
educational techniques in schools.
