com | 202-670-5747 (mobile) STATEMENT ON SBA ADMINISTRATOR KAREN MILLS WASHINGTON With yesterday's announcement that SBA Administrator Karen Mills will resign her position once a replacement has been confirmed, Kristie Arslan, President & CEO of the National Association for the Self-Employed, released this comment: On behalf of the 22-million self-employed, I would like to thank Administrator Mills for her service to the Small Business community over the past four years. During the 2010 Small Business Jobs Bill debate, we worked closely with the Administrator, her staff, and Congressional leaders to put together a strong legislative package that would support and help grow Americas small business. The expansion of the SBA loan program and continued efforts to increase access to government contracting for small businesses speaks to the commitment the Administrator has shown in demonstrating the economic growth potential of the small business community. We look forward to the President nominating a qualified and passionate advocate to follow in Administrator Mills foot-steps. ### The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) is the nation's leading resource for the self-employed and micro-businesses, bringing a broad range of benefits to help entrepreneurs succeed and to drive the continued growth of this vital segment of the American economy.
