Changing a Previously Used Cisco Phone to a New User

Call Manager Change:            Go to ‘Myphone’ in the address bar Go to ‘Device’ ‘Phone’ and search by description/contains extension Select the phone to be changed Under ‘Device Information’ Change the user’s name under Description and click save and apply config On the left under ‘Association Information’ select number 1 for Line 1 Beneath ‘Directory Number Information’ change the old user to the new user Scroll to the bottom of the page under ‘Line 1 on Device SEP*****’ (Make note of the last six characters/numbers of the SEP to be used for permissioning) FYI: the SEP Device name is the devices MAC address with SEP in front of it And change the old user to the new user Click Save and Apply Config Change phone Services:  Under the device in the upper right hand corner of the page to the right of ‘Relate Links’ drop down to ‘Subscribe/unsubscribe services’ and click ‘go’  Choose Fast Dials and remove the PIN and add 12345  Change the userid to be the windows username for the new user (i.e. tdetrick)  Click Subscribe and then ‘save’

Voicemail Setup:  Login to Cisco Voicemail  Chsrvntsunty01  unityinstall/”2Bornot2B”  Open ‘System Administration’ on the desktop Delete Voicemail Profile for old user associated to Extension: o Click ‘Subscribers’ o In the upper right hand corner select the magnify glass o Drop down find by and select extension and enter the extension o Click the old users first name o In the upper right hand corner click the red x to delete the old voicemail profile associated to the extension you want to use Add new User’s voicemail profile: o In the upper right hand corner click the + o Choose ‘Select’ from the new window (looks at AD)

Click ‘find’ o Check off the device and ‘save selected/changes’ o Now the Device is associated to the new user Go back into ‘User Management’ ‘End Users’ and select the new user Permission the user to use Phone Management from the Start Menu: o At the bottom of the End User Configuration under ‘Permissions Information:   . There seems to be issues getting back into System Administration section again right away if you allow the session to time out Force a Sync with Call Manager and AD:       Log into ‘Myphone’ in your IE address bar Under ‘System’. PH_LDAP At the bottom of the page you will see ‘Perform Full Sync Now’ Click this and give it approximately 10 minutes to do a sync Permission New User to use Phone Management from the Start Menu and assign their phone:       Log into ‘Myphone’ in the address bar Go to ‘User Management’ and ‘End User’ Enter the new user’s first name and click find Select their username Change their PIN to 12345/12345 Assign Device: o Click ‘Device Association’ o Find User Device where ‘Name’ ‘Ends with’ and enter the six character/numbers you wrote down earlier in the instructions. drop down to ‘LDAP’ and then ‘LDAP Directory’ Click ‘Find’ Then Select the City in which you just created the AD account for (you only need to click on ONE of the LDAPs) – i.o o o o o o o Search by First Name under find by and enter the new user’s first name If the user doesn’t appear double check spelling and then proceed to ‘Force a Sync with the Call Manager and AD’ Once the sync has completed click ‘find’ again Then click on the user’s first name.e. enter the extension and then click ‘add’ Once the new user’s voicemail profile is created click ‘Phone Password’ on the left navigation Change the password to 12345/12345 and click the save button (looks like a disk) in the upper right hand corner Make sure to logoff out of the Unity box as soon as you can so that it doesn’t time out.

o o o o o o Click ‘Add to User Group’ Choose ‘Find’ Check off ‘Standard CCM End Users’ Check off “Standard CTI Enabled” Select ‘Add Selected’ from the top Click ‘Save’ .
