Friday 15th February, 2013

Dear Parents Thanks to the information forwarded to us by a parent, we very recently became aware of an international street art festival currently being held here in Bangkok in the Siam Square area. On contacting the organisers, Year 6 has received the invitation to see the international street artists at work between 10am and 1pm on Tuesday 19th February (Day B). The artists usually work during the evening; however they will put on a special session for us. On Tuesday we will travel to the Siam Square area via school bus departing at approximately 9.00am and returning to school at approximately 1.30pm. Students who are part of the NIST lunch programme will be provided with a picnic style lunch. We ask that students, who supply their own lunch, please pack a lunch appropriate for the day. All students will need to bring a hat and plenty of water for this field trip. As the artwork is in 29 different locations (please view the attached map) we would like to have several parent volunteers from each class so the students can be separated into smaller supervised groups. Parents would need to meet us at the Siam Square area as unfortunately we will not have enough room on the buses for everyone. Please let your child’s homeroom teacher know if you are able to assist with this field trip. Date: Tuesday 19th February Departure: 9.00am Return: 1.30pm What to bring: Lunch (if needed), hat, water RSPV: Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher if you are able to supervise a group at the Street Art Festival. With Kind Regards The Year 6 Teaching Team
