INTRODUCTION

Introduction
Business life is full of challenges and competition. In order to be the first in this continuously flowing stream of business, most business owners have to find and develop strategies that will give them a competitive advantage. In the coffee industry, offering the best coffee to customers is important, but businesses today have expanded and discovered that other factors need to be consider in order to survive against competition. For example, coffee shop owners need to ask themselves what makes their place different and unique from other shops. Most people are attracted to the most convenient, comfortable, and best coffee shops rather than just the actual coffee a shop serves. For example, serving regular coffee did not propel Starbucks to the top of the coffee shop industry. They created one of the most unique shops that catered to the interests of their customers. This being said, with this book, we are offering some ideas of interior design of unique coffee shops in South Korea, giving some inspiration to new and current owners in coffee shop industry.

A TOM N TOMS COFFEE SHOP Located in the outskirts of the city. The outside patio is designed to allow customers to have an area to enjoy the weather or a place to smoke. The layout of the coffee shop is designed to allow customers to have a place to hang out with friends or relaxing place to study. It allows potential customers to see the interior design of the coffee shop without having to enter the coffee shop. The glass windows allow customers not only the ability to enjoy what is going outside the coffee shop. This Tom N Toms coffee shop’s goal is to satisfy and serve the younger consumer market that they receive throughout a daily basis. here in South Korea the increasing demand for coffee has required coffee shop owners to design their coffee shop in a way that will appeal to the customer’s wants and needs. Tom N Tom’s has set up their coffee shop to easily meet the large number of customers they receive every day by use of small tables round tables as you can see from the pictures. Unlike most coffee shops in the cities. Customers seem to enjoy the ability to have coffee and still feel at home. The interior design of this shop has given the reputation of having a warming comfortable vibe. The place is suitable for people of all ages and offers an atmosphere of relaxation as if a customer were still at home. 33 .

The shop really brings back the “kid” in people. The use of formal furniture makes the old fashioned image combined with the fairytale atmosphere a place for anyone to enjoy.The interior design of the shop is only something most people could dream of. Filled with paintings of cupcakes and or decorative ornaments. Bona’s has definitely found a creative way to use their primary products of coffee and cupcakes to design their place. 39 .
