What is Planned Parenthood?

Planned Parenthood is an organization founded in 1916 by Margaret Sanger and her sister to educate women about birth control. They now have over 880 clinics in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. They provide information on abortion, contraceptives, and birth control

What's the moral issue?

Planned Parenthood helps minors to obtain abortions without parental consent, by using loopholes in the laws of most states. Planned Parenthood does not actively educate women on the dangerous of effects of birth control and abortions Planned Parenthood tries to make people think that sex outside of marriage, abortion and masturbation

What it has to do with teens

Planned Parenthood's main target is teens and young adults They run a website called “teenwire” that includes many articles, diagrams, and videos about sexual activity. They provide condoms in packages that look lollipops, and have a birth control mascot.

What I learned

Planned Parenthood is supported by our tax dollars They have lobbied to get all abortion clinics free of health regulations, for privacy. They do not highly promote abstinence as the most effective way to prevent pregnancy. They try to tell young people that the Catholic Church teaches that sex is
