THE CAPTAIN AND CAMILLE

Who are they? A singing group? A service unit? Not exactly. It’s true that Camille was assigned
as a mezzo soprano and sings with the St. Frances de Chantal Choir, and Charles was assigned
to an Army medical unit in Nuremburg, Germany. However, what these two have in common is
that they are both educators and teach in our public school system.

Ms. LoPi is an Academic Intervention Specialist and Mr. L. is a Special Ed Teacher, and they
are also a husband and wife team. They are about to walk down the aisle together again, but not
in a wedding ceremony. They are both receiving their Masters in Education and graduating from
Mercy College. Charles is a NYC Fellow and has dual certification in Regular and Special
Education. Camille, originally a Reading Teacher, is adding another degree and certification to
her repertoire in Educational Technology.

So when you hear melodious tunes emanating from their home in the Waterbury-LaSalle area this
weekend, you will know that the Captain and Camille are celebrating. Congratulations!
