CHICAGO, IL – Republican Paul McKinley has declared victory in the primary election to replace Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr., in Illinois’ Second Congressional District. “We thank God for giving us this golden opportunity to serve Him and the people. As for the Machine, it’s on from here on out,” said McKinley. McKinley’s anti-Machine message resonated throughout the Second Congressional District, as did his strong support of family values and smaller government conservatism. In a race that the Democrats wanted to make about guns, McKinley never wavered on his support of the Second Amendment. “Now is the time to challenge the Machine. Now is time to throw the Machine off the back of the people. Even Mayor Bloomberg doesn’t have enough money to pay off the broke, busted, and disgusted and manipulate the people’s will. If Mayor Bloomberg thinks he can come and buy the general election, he’s going to have to go through the American people.” “I’d also like to congratulate my fellow running-mates Eric Wallace, Lenny McAllister, and Beverly Reid. It was an honor to campaign alongside them and we’ll all continue the fight to bring justice and true representation to the people of the Second District.”
