Step 1. Opening Pipework and assigning default specs for pipes.
First of all you need to enter to Pipework parts of PDMS. If you are in different part go to main menu File Pipework. If your PDMS already in Pipework part so Pipework options will be not active (gray).

From List Piping select required specs. But if you want to make pipe with different specs you can change to required during process. Click on button.

Or from menu Settings Default Spec and change. After start to create pipe. Abbreviation of specs is next: A1A = ANSI class 150 carbon steel, A3B = ANSI class 300 carbon steel, F1C = ANSI class 150 stainless steel…… If the piping catalogue has been set up to allow you to add insulation and trace heating to pipes, you can use the Insulation and Tracing buttons to select the required specification for each, and set the adjacent toggle button to On if insulation/tracing is to be added by default as the model is created.
