Learn the Bible
in 24 Hours

Comprehensive Workbook

Dedicated to Dr. Harold Wilson
February 7, 1941 - August 9, 2004

How to Use this Workbook

For maximum benefit, please read the following tips:

1. Before starting a Learn the Bible in 24 Hours session, please read through the study
questions and, if part of a small group, the discussion questions that pertain to that
session.

2. The first section of each session is designed to help you take notes. You will discover
that there is much more information than space provided, so it may be helpful to have
extra paper on which to write.

3. If you are a small group leader, please feel free to use the questions at the back of the
workbook to facilitate discussion within your group. See the Discussion Questions for
Small Group Leaders
section.

4. Through arrangements with Louisiana Baptist University, we can now offer you the
means to earn college course credit toward a LBU degree up to and including the
Ph.D. through our Koinonia Institute. If you are interested in obtaining college credit
for this study course(s), you will need to follow these steps:

a) Go to www.khouse.org/ki to download an application packet, which includes
applications to both KI and LBU (.pdf files), the link to LBU’s online catalog
(www.lbu.edu), plus a list of available courses through Koinonia Institute.

b) Fill out both applications and return to us with your $100 registration fee, which
enrolls you in both KI and LBU. Tuition is $75 per credit. LBU will accept
all KI course transcripts and is the institution that will grant your degree (you will
still need to take distance-learning classes through LBU to earn your degree).

c) This study is actually two college courses: BIB 101: Old Testament Survey and
BIB 102: New Testament Survey. Each course is 3 credits = $225 in tuition per
course, or $450 for both courses.

d) After registration fee and tuition have been paid, finish all study questions in the
main section of the workbook, as well as the additional assignments located in
the Koinonia Institute section. These materials will be turned in, graded, and
returned to the student along with a final exam. Once the final has been returned
and graded, you will be notified of your grade in the course. For more informa-
tion on procedures, see the information page at the front of the Koinonia Insti-
tute
section of this workbook.

outside our time domain.

A Few Caveats

•The Word of God is Inexhaustible.

–24 yearswould be insufficient…

•The truth is in the details.

–Every detail is connected to every other.

•Our Goal: A Strategic Grasp of the Total

–A conceptual grounding in the major truths
–A navigational awareness to fit it all
together

Collapse of Skeptical Theories

•Historicity of Patriarchal accounts
•Denial of writing in Moses’ day

century?

Refuted by:
•Archaeological discoveries
•Documentary discoveries
•Competent analysis

•Nachmonides,

(12th

–10 dimensions

•only 4 are “knowable”

Commentary on Genesis, 1263

•Particle Physicists, (20th

–10 dimensions

•4 are directly measurable: (3 spatial + time);
•6 are “curled” into less than 10-33cm, and thus
inferable only by indirect means

Mr. & Mrs. Flat

Why Now?

We believe that we are being plunged into
a period of time about which the Bible
says more than about any other period
of time in history,

…including the time that Jesus walked the
shores of Galilee and climbed the
mountains of Judea.

•Are there “Hidden
Messages” in the Bible?

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:
but it is the honor of kings to search out a matter.

Proverbs 25:2
