WHY EXAMINATION SHOULD NOT BE ABOLISHED:

Examination should not be abolished because it gives students a sense of direction in life. We do not want students to be groping in the darkness, not knowing where they are heading in their studies and in life. Most students need a goal or target to focus their minds as to what they want to achieve in life. Examination gives them this focus. Students will be able to make the necessary and most appropriate preparation to solve the various problems with credible solutions. Examination should not be abolished because it gives students the opportunity to prove to the world what they have achieved in terms of academic and cognitive capability. Being conferred a doctrate, a degree or a diploma is symbol of their abilities and potential in a particular field of study. They are rewarded for their diligence and effort through the system of examination and assessments. These academic awards brings them respect and honour in society.
