To Winter Wyman, I would like to apply for the Data Center Manager position that is currently open in Berlin,

MA which is JOB ID 105948. Currently I am completing my Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certifications. I hope to have them both completed in September. In my career I have managed multiple corporate primary 24/7 data centers, IT staffs and the entire daily, weekly and monthly deadlines that go with the day to day computer operations of companies with sales in the billions. In my last position, as part of our processing schedule, my group oversaw the daily data warehouse process updates as well as the updating of our all of major financial systems. They also handled the recovery of all outages, either internally, or by working with the on-call programming staff. Other times, I was contacted for direction to properly resolve the outage so that the process could complete and thus, make it deadline of 9am. I have grown the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery at multiple companies from a limited project in scope to a multi-platform, multi-location and multi-day per exercise events that include recipients of multiple departments within each organization. These exercises are followed up with an executive summary and extensive documentation that is essential for a project this size. I managed multiple projects as well, such as the upgrading of desktop report distribution solution, the implementation of the mainframe job scheduler across all operating work shifts and the expansion of the business continuity policies across the entire company. Plus, I also have much experience in developing documentation, providing process improvements and the developing and mentoring of staff. Regarding staff, in my last position, I had the lowest turnover rate of all managers in the company. This is because I was constantly looking for opportunity for my staff to learn and improve within their current role. I created individual specialists within the group as the new skills added value to the department and the business at no extra cost to the company. As part of the long term interruption resolution solution, I also developed and maintained an 8000 incident knowledgebase that was used by all of IT as a reference point for the solving of individual IT issues. This knowledgebase saved the company much time in productivity. I also improved data center security procedures as well as media destruction and equipment recycling policies so that Hachette Book Group could become more of an environmentally friendly company. I look forward to meeting with a representative of your company to further discuss my skills and how I can bring immediate value to a fantastic institution like yours.

Thank you, Anthony Hines
