Scan India manufactures PLASTIC COATED (3 layer polyethylene coating) steel pipes which are produced under the brand name of SMOOTHFLOW pipes. These pipes have been created basically with the concept of using the robust mild steel pipes, which are coated by 3-layer polyethylene coating. 3-layer polyethylene coatings were originally developed for the oil and gas industry. They have now been adopted for all applications for steel pipe corrosion protection like water supply piping, irrigation etc. 3-layer polyethylene coatings provide a permanent solution to steel pipe by offering the enhanced corrosion protection of the Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) layer along with the robust, impact and mechanical resistance of the polyethylene top coat. The long term benefits include: High impact resistance High corrosion resistance Highly impermeable to water penetration Superior adhesion to steel Good flexibility These pipes are produced in diameters 25mm to 500mm in single and double random lengths. The steel pipes are ERW, SAW or seamless and can be used for buried, concealed or submerged applications making them ideal for household plumbing, building projects, SEZ schemes, irrigation and private industries. In addition to these pipes, Scan India can also coat SAW pipes from diameters 500mm to 2200mm. These pipes can be coated externally as well as internally. Address:
