Not all writers live in Brooklyn, this is the story of one of them.

Fresh out of art school, SHE tries her hand at creative writing, she mixes up the locales and the dates, the narrative is everything but chronological. There is only one protagonist, the writer herself, thus her text becomes a collage of different selfportraits, of different self-inventions. The struggle is paramount, especially, given that the narrator does not have any formal “training” in how to construct a story arc, hers is the world of paint and sculpting forms out of clay. She is acutely aware that writing differs somehow from form giving, from the physical manipulation of a material. FAR AWAY FROM BROOKLYN is 75 000 words long.
