Lamb and Macaroni Recipe

250 g macaroni 1 kg cutlets ( cut into small cubes ) 1 large onion (sliced) 3 large tomatoes 6 green chillies 5 ml cumin powder 5 ml chilli powder 2.5 ml tumeric powder 5 ml coriander powder 5 ml salt 2 cloves 2 sticks cinnamon 2 cardamom seeds 10 ml crushed ginger and garlic half bunch of coriander leaves 75 ml oil METHOD: 1. Boil macaroni in water with 10 ml oil and 10 ml salt until soft. 2. Heat the oil in a thick based saucepan. 3. Add sliced onions, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and braise for a few minutes. 4. Liquidise coriander leaves, tomatoes and green chillies together. 5. Add ginger and garlic, spices and the liquidised ingredients and mix well together. 6. Add meat, salt and mix well. 7. Now cook on low heat until meat is tender. 8. Mix the cooked meat with the boiled macaroni into a pre greased casserole. 9. Place small dollops of margarine sparingly in the casserole and bake with the lid on for 20 mins in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius. COOKING TIME : 45 mins SERVES : 6 Serve with chutneys and salad
