Western Regional Innovation & Learning Center Accomplishments as of 3/26/2013

1. KCC and Lake County Commissioners MOU has been signed 2. LCSD#7 and KCC MOU has been finalized 3. Oregon Solutions Project designation for WRILC has been signed by Governor Kitzhaber. Lake County Commissioners, Town of Lakeview, and Lake County Community Foundation have fronted the matching dollars needed for designation 4. Sean Gallagher took a team of educators to KCC to evaluate Agriculture and Certified Welding articulation agreements 5. Transitional plans have been made between TVCC to KCC, Suzi Cahill has been instrumental in facilitating this transition 6. Current discussions are underway with OSU to provide a four year Ag degree program at WRILC 7. DMS Facility Assessment has been completed 8. Grant funds are being pursued 9. Needs assessment is in process 10. Technology plans are in design to facilitate computer labs and video conferencing equipment 11. KCC will most likely use LHS this summer as a facility sight since TVCC have officially notified that they will cease services as of June 30th while the DMS Seismic Retrofit project is underway to be completed by August 15th. 12. Geothermal source project is on track to provide geothermal heating to all LCSD#7 facilities by next fall including WRILC 13. Suzi Cahill and I have been facilitating key KCC personnel visits to Lakeview, touring the DMS site and community at large 14. Resources are being allocated through the budgeting process with KCC to apply to WRILC
