AMBASSADORS FOR JESUS CHRIST

2 Corinthians 5:20; Ephesians 6:10 The word 'ambassador' means one who lives in a foreign country as the senior representative of his / her country. Genuinely repented and called out believers, walking in the steps of the Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ, are the true ambassadors of Jesus Christ here on earth (Acts 11:26) these are those who have received power to do the work of their master Jesus Christ boldly (Acts 1:8), without any sense of shame or favour. 1. THE LIFE OF THE TRUE AMBASSADOR 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:22-24; 1 Timothy 6:11-12 The old life must have been put away (Galatians 5:19, 21) and now living in the new life (2 Corinthians 6:17, 14), glorifying God. It is a kind of reconciled life to God brought about by the shedding of the blood of the LAMB on the Cross of Calvary. The true ambassador must a man of God who is fighting the good fight of faith throughout his livelihood and is bearing the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). He is a vessel unto honour (2 Timothy 2:20-21), sanctified and meet for the Master's use. He is converted and humbled by the Spirit of God (Matthew 18:3-4). He hates sin (1 John 3:6-9) and keeps himself from falling back into sin. 2. THE WORKS OF THE TRUE AMBASSADOR 2 Timothy 2:15; Matthew 28:19-20; Titus 2:1-10; Isaiah 34:16; 1 John 2:12-24; Daniel 5:17-31 The Scriptures is the spiritual food of the ambassador of God. He meditates on it and prepares himself ahead of every battle. He is a peacemaker as he settles disputes among his brethren and also trains them to be able ministers of God (Psalm 119:174; Titus 3:1-5). He lives in subjection to his leaders and is obedient to the laws of his communities that do not contradict the written law of God. He hears and received from God and warns the people of God against backsliding and the sinners to repent from their sins. The true ambassador of Christ interpretes the mind of God to his followers.
