DESIGN ENGINEER PIPING/MECHANICAL

Responsibilities Responsible preparing piping system, mechanical designs and equipment arrangement/installation drawings that conform to project specification and Class requirements. Complete design tasks as allocated by Superintendent Use correct supplier information in all designs Produce production details in conjunction with relevant line managers Write procurement specifications for major pieces of equipment Ensure designs comply with technical specification Ensure designs comply with Class and Flag requirements Prepare design information for submission to Class and Flag authorities Assist with developing shipyard standards for engineering systems Requirement

Knowledge :

Knowledge of the marine and shipbuilding industry Understanding of ship system design and operation Knowledge and understanding of current IMO regulations

Qualifications: Degree in relevant field e.g. Marine, Mechanical, Naval and Systems Engineer or Engineering (Marine) or equivalent Skills Time management Good English Good AutoCAD Good Communication
