Chapter 11 Project 45 points Why Worry about Water?

When it comes to water issues, what do you feel most strongly about? There are an endless number of topics that you can choose from. People drinking bottle after bottle of water? People wasting water in their homes? Industries and individuals polluting water? Oil companies, such as BP, with offshore drilling operations that put wildlife at risk? By yourself or with a partner of your choosing you will be making a public service announcement (P.S.A) about water. This topic needs to be something you feel passionate about (examples seen above). To make this P.S.A. you will be using the program GoAnimate!. P.S.A. Requirements A minimum of 3 facts must be given Video must be persuasive Audience must be identified Script must be handed in (attached in email) Setting and characters must be appropriate to P.S.A.s message Other Requirements Students must use class time wisely Students must turn project in on time in correct format

The P.S.A. is directed at a specific, logical audience and uses techniques that will persuade that audience to do whatever the P.S.A.s message is. Proper formality was accounted for based on the audience. Included character descriptions, audience description, and the characters lines. Websites where the facts were found were also included.

3 facts presented are relevant, aid in videos message, and are accurate. The P.S.A.s audience was identified and would likely be persuaded to act after watching the video. Websites where the facts were found were also included. The setting and the characters chosen for the P.S.A. made sense to the overall message the video was trying to get across. P.S.A. and script were turned in on time. Both partners used class time efficiently, they were rarely told to get back on task, and they were rarely a distraction to any other groups.

The setting and characters chosen for the P.S.A. not only made sense but also aided in the overall message the video was trying to get across. P.S.A. and script were turned in on time and in the correct format. Both partners used class time efficiently working and did not stop early, they were never told to get back on task, and they were not a distraction to any other groups.
