Life Lessons

In wind we lost what we’d held. By storm we discovered what we’d missed. In stream we found what we’d lost. By dark we blessed what we’d butchered. At dawn we buried what we’d killed. In daylight we levered what we’d severed. In void we invited what we’d indicted. From plenum we invented what we were to rent. In pain we carved our names. By practicing absence we became what we’d tamed.
